21 March, 2023 - Publication of "Handbook on Public Sector Efficiency"
Edited by Antonio Afonso, Joao Tovar Jalles ans Ana Venancio (ISEG, Lisbon School of Economics and Management, University of Lisbon, Portugal), this Handbook gathered expert contributions on public sector efficiency for both national and sub-national governments and for some sectors like education or health, but also methodology and measurement issues alongside the allocation of resources to ensure better efficiency and effectiveness. This Handbook will be an important read for academics and students in economics and public administration. It will also provide an excellent background for the policy makers of international institutions looking to help the general public have a better understanding of how public spending works in order for them to make informed decisions when voting.
Amélie Barbier-Gauchard, Kéa Baret and Xavier Debrun are contributors of this Handbook with a chapter entitled "Government efficiency and fiscal rules".

17 October, 2022 - Installation ceremony of the 2022 laureates of the Institut Universitaire de France
Appointed on October 1st 2022 as a member of the Institut Universitaire de France (IUF) for a period of 5 years, Amélie Barbier-Gauchard received the medal of the members of the IUF during the ceremony of installation of the Junior and Senior 2022 laureates, which took place on October 17th in the Grand Amphithéâtre of the Sorbonne. The programme included a speech by Olivier Houdé, administrator of the IUF, a presentation of the results by institution (Strasbourg came 3rd with 7 medals behind Paris Cité and Sorbonne Université), the awarding of medals by institution, and a speech by Sylvie Retailleau, Minister for Higher Education and Research.

1 October, 2022 - Appointment to the Institut Universitaire de France
By order of the Minister of Higher Education and Research dated 26 May 2022, Amélie Barbier-Gauchard is appointed Junior member of the Institut Universitaire de France (IUF), awarded a Fundamental Chair since 1 October 2022, for a 5 years period. The aim of the Institut Universitaire de France is to promote the development of high-level scientific research and, as such, it awards the status of Junior IUF member to young teacher-researchers of exceptional quality.

The Jean Monnet Chairs awarded by the European Commission aim to promote excellence in teaching and research in the field of European studies.
4 June, 2021 - Kick off meeting ITI MAKErS
The Making European Society (MAKErS) Interdisciplinary Thematic Institute (ITI) is a 8 years interdisciplinary research and training programme that gathered nearly 150 researchers from differents disciplines (lax, economics, political science, sociology, ..) to analyse and unterstand the makin of European society.
